I hear Paw Patrol is  popular among children these days...

This is my Chase Inspired Hat.  I am pretty happy with how it turned out.  And my customer was beyond thrilled!

Tuesday Tips: Adding Liners

I love handmade hats (obviously).
My children get several hats made in the fall and in the winter.

But Canadian winter are harsh and sometimes a simple crochet hat isn't warm enough.

I am so happy I stumbled across this tutorial from Playin Hooky Designs!

I will be incorporating it into many of my designs now.  And perhaps offering liners as an option in my shoppe!!

Do you use liners in your hats?  Will you try this tutorial??

Fresh Off the Hook and Needing a Name

I am insanely happy with how this hat turned out.  I had never used Red Heart Boutique Infinity yarn before, but when I saw it - the softness, the sparkle!! - I knew it would be coming home with me!!

I love the texture of this hat.  And the simple design worked up very quickly.

I am thinking about offering this as a FREE pattern on my blog... but first, I need a name.  Who will help me name this hat?

Friday Freebies: Meow!

Cat ear hats are always popular in our home.
There are many, many patterns online...
While I originally intended on following a pattern, I ended up just making the following hat on the whim with some left-over chunky yarn and a 6mm hook.

My daughter is such a cheeky little monkey.... erm, kitty?!

A free pattern similar to this hat can be found HERE
If you make this, or a similar style, I would love to see it!! Leave me a link/message in the comments ♥

This set has been many months in the making -- basically because I was waiting on the amazing shield feltie -- but it was definitely worth the wait!
I am so very happy with how it turned out!

The adorable booties are modified from The Lovely Crow.

The adorable pants are a pattern from Calleigh's Clips.

And the super cute fireman helmet pattern is from Expert Craftss.
And the applique feltie is from Anni Mae Bows.

Now I just need a cute little firefighter to model this...
